So this legislation doesn't state anything about a flag, but just like the first 20 pieces of legislation here, anything that we pass here is city expression. So if it's passed, somebody does have the right and opportunity to submit for an application to raise a flag.

That's our Wednesday. That's our next council meeting. To go over the legislation and buttoning this up so we can—

I'm not. I do legislation.

The application, so I updated it, like you guys said, for some reason there was a, you guys said that the application wasn't updated. So I went ahead and updated and added numbers 3 and 4 per legislation. So now this flag application, the process, is identical to what the ordinance says, which is other flags may be displayed in conjunction with official events or ceremonies as announced by mayoral proclamation or Common Council resolution or proclamation. And number 4 is flags of professional sports teams in commemoration of a significant achievement involving the City of Utica, because those were the only 2 updates.

I want to know, well, if I can have the floor next for my qualification. This legislation says nothing about the flag. This was just about the proclamation for Juneteenth, but it goes—

That's why I made it like that. I knew this room was split and divided on flag raisings. This is just to honor Juneteenth and Utica's place in it. Of course, I don't— I wouldn't vote for that amendment because you can't cancel like City expression for one of these. That's why it doesn't make sense to me. Um, it's, it's, it is already— I think the judge already touched on this— this is already a federal holiday. The city already recognizes, uh, federal, uh, federal expression and, uh, federal flags at that. So it just, it wouldn't— you can try and say this one legislation doesn't have any effect, but it's just about the proclamation. It's not that deep. Councilman?

But then we have to actually pass legislation for them to accept the fees. So I didn't know if anybody made an actual legislation.

Okay, do you want to stay on this topic? Because I have questions about the legislation for tonight about the bill.

Tonight we have this legislation for billboard signs. I don't know if you were able to speak to that or what prompted this.

And there's no legislation for the ski—

there we don't have any actual legislation then for these ski prices, right?

Okay, I think also— sorry, I think part of the problem is early on, the first legislation we ever passed wasn't the correct 4%, so I think part of the 6% would— we tried fixing it a couple times. I don't know.

Thank you, Mr. President. Uh, I just want to thank the NAACP again tonight and Betty Joan. Uh, if anybody is just tuning in now, definitely go watch the pre-meeting and see the great presentation. And, uh, hopefully we'll be in communication soon to look at some legislation. Thank you, Mr. President.
