There's, uh, no Common Council guest speaker. We do have community communication from the mayor, uh, at proposed resolution number 11. The mayor's writing to request your support and adoption of the attached resolution calling on the state of New York to permanently adjust aid and incentives for municipalities' funding to reflect inflation, state budget growth, and the needs of our local property taxpayers. AIM was designed as structural funding, is unrestricted state revenue sharing that helps cities fund everyday operations and essential services. Because AIM has remained flat for years, it has become disconnected from real costs and from the financial reality municipalities are expected to manage. New York State has demonstrated it can respond to inflation. The state funded over $2 billion in one-time inflation relief payments to individuals and households. This resolution is not some asking for more money. It's asking to restore equitable revenue sharing and to rebuild a balanced municipal funding structure that has eroded over time. The state-level fix is modest in the context of the overall budget. I'm requesting that the council adopt this resolution so we can present, present a united front through our state delegation. Thank you for your consideration and for continuing to work as we advocate for the funding structure that better reflects the reality cities are being asked to manage. So you guys want to vote on this tonight or put it in committee?

Watch your space heaters. Please don't use them with extension cords. They're not designed for that. Uh, every year— there isn't a year gone by since I've been on the fire department we haven't had a fire related to a space heater and extension cord. So they do happen. People run them under rugs, under their beds. Uh, that's just not a safe Habit to get into. And then watch your pipes. If you have pipes prone to freezing, trickle them, run some laundry, just don't leave stagnant water in there over the weekend. Those cold temperatures will happen. And I know Chief Ingersoll mentioned last meeting that we were taking delivery of a new apparatus. That is in town. We should— the Comptroller's Office is finalizing funding for that. Should have possession of done by the end of the week.

Thank you, Mr. President. I'd like to echo what the other council members and Thank you everyone for who's coming, who came tonight, and our guest speaker, and all those who participated in public comment. It's appreciated to, to hear everyone's perspective. Just a piece on the legislation we received regarding the AIM funding. I know we didn't have an opportunity to speak about it in pre-meeting. Me, from a personal perspective, certainly on board with it. I would like to see a, a statement from our Comptroller's Office confirming the figures. There's a lot of figures in that document related to inflation percentages and other numbers that I think we should at least have a statement from the Comptroller's Office before we pass. So with that said, thank you, Mr. President, and thank you everyone again.
