So when this all started back, I grew up '74, '75. The way it worked at the Parkway, everybody, you got a pass. Most parents bought you a season pass for Christmas. And back then, it was over $100. Okay, so I'm not— I'm just telling you, that's what we need to do is not worry about your day pass or your 4-hour pass. You need to come up with a way to buy a week pass where somebody gets a deal, or a season pass. But if you could see what's going on right now, we're in February, we just got all the water and everything done for snowmaking, and we're trying to get this opened as soon as possible. So maybe we do something for rates for this year and then see where we go. But the way it works, the way most people who are going to use that— their parents are going to buy the kids a season pass, just the way Judge, just the way Valley View, most of the people buy a season youth pass at Valley View. So it's the same type thing. So that's, that's just right.

I know in my area there's a couple that they had to come. That's a good example of this right here. Yeah, but the neighbor's got to be notified. But yeah, the ratification— so initially when we came up with this legislation, and mostly Councilman Betrus, we came up with the legislation, there was an appeal process. Um, we, we ended up turning that appeal process into the council can just pass to allow it because the council is the one that's closest to the people.

But, um, like, the mayor has specific things he wants to see that I'm part of the administration and, um, I think are good ideas. And I think legal's working on that legislation, so we'll see how they all turn out. They've been in contact with me too. Um, the concern that I have about vacant housing is, um, first of all, keeping the physical registry Right, so we're anticipating 200-300 properties on there, keeping it up to date, making sure you have an owner, making sure you have a person. That's a big administrative task for a secretary that's already kind of stretched. She's taking all these phone calls, all these appointments, she's scheduling all our regular inspections, she's doing all our FOIL requests, she's doing all our building permits, and then she's got to keep track of these 300 properties with the codes officers. So that's a tough one. The other one is identifying them as vacant. Requires a lot of homework. So you got to make sure that either the utilities are off— there's like 5 things that qualify. You get a neighbor deposition, the utilities are off, codes officer observation from in the neighborhood, the windows are boarded. So you got to confirm that it's vacant. Then you have to do the follow-up of getting a reuse plan in place with the owner. And so somebody's got to approve that plan, has got to review that plan, has got to monitor that plan. This, if you guys pass this, I think it'll really help with the problem. I, I've grown on this law when it was first proposed, but then after I spoke to people, um, well, there was a lot of things wrong with the law. It should never be original.
